Our annual Candlelight Lessons and Carols Service includes traditional readings from the Old Testament through the Gospel story of the birth of Jesus. Dr. Patricia Wright conducts a quartet of Metropolitan's lead singers in anthems including Darke's In the Bleak Midwinter, O Magnum Mysterium by Vittoria, The Angel Gabriel (arr. Pettman) and a virtual piece with other members of the Choir, Todd's My Lord Has Come.
Carols to sing along with at home include O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and others.
The organ prelude and postlude will be played by Minister of Music Dr. Patricia Wright and Carillonneur Roy Lee serenades from Met's historic bell tower.
