Candlelight Lessons and Carols

Welcome to the Advent & Christmas season at Metropolitan.  You can find all worship, programming and concert information at metunited.ca/advent

Our traditional Candlelight Lessons and Carols Service includes readings from the Old Testament through the Gospel story of the birth of Jesus. Dr. Patricia Wright conducts members of the Metropolitan Choir - anthems include This is the Truth (Meechum); Hodie Christus Natus Est (Sweelinck); Softly (Todd); Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming (Distler).

Carols for the congregation include O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and others.  

The organ prelude and postlude will be played by Minister of Music Dr. Patricia Wright and Carillonneur Roy Lee serenades from Met's historic bell tower.
