Jesus tells his followers that to know him is to set down our need to know, which is really about our need to control, and to enter the realm beyond our complete knowledge, beyond our full understanding - the world of the Spirit - the world where that wild wind blows her hot Siroccian breath and blasts the hinges off every box we try to build. On day of Pentecost we are encouraged to encounter that part of ourselves, grounded in our deepest longings, that calls to us to awaken to the beautiful enigma of being alive.
