“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour”. The familiar opening lines to the Magnificat, sung by Mary, mother of Jesus. Mary, by many account is the most famous woman in history. But what do we know of her other than that she was the mother of Jesus? Come and ponder the qualities and values of the woman who is the focus of the Christmas story.
