Before we get to the stars and angels and Christ child in manger, we first journey through the season of Advent. This is a time of preparation and expectation. A time of “not yet.” But even into the growing darkness and uncertainty of our days, it is a time for the proclamation of hope. The light will return. God will fulfill the promise of holy presence. We are not alone. Thanks be to God.
