From Dennis Donovan, Chair, Faith Formation:
We are sad to announce that Bailey Fleming, our Children & Youth Animator, is moving on from The GO Project to pursue her Masters of Child & Youth Care at Ryerson University. In her short time with us, Bailey has impressed with her children’s messages and her work with our children and youth. She will be missed.
We are pleased to announce, however, that Alana Martin will be joining us going forward. Welcome, Alana, and we look forward to getting to know you in the months ahead.
About Alana Martin
Alana Martin has been a minister and leader with The GO Project, a children and youth mission program of The United Church of Canada, for 10 years. Alana is thankful to work for a ministry that fosters faith, spirituality and leadership with young people in our communities. Alana is studying to become a Diaconal Minister at the Centre for Christian Studies and is rooted in the call to education, faith formation, social justice, outreach and pastoral care. Alana lives in Toronto and is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia where her family still lives. Alana loves kickboxing, reading, the Blue Jays and spending time with friends and family.
We wish Bailey the best of luck, and welcome Alana aboard the Met team!
