#metARTshare this fall

#metARTshare continues into October! The theme this month: 'Pets...or?'

You're invited to share your creative side! Post pictures of your own sketches, poetry, sculpture, drawings, paintings or photography to the Friends of Met group on Facebook, or use the hashtag #metARTshare and tag Met (@metropolitanunitedto) on Instagram. If you're not on social media, you can email your work to us.

Your expression gives others ideas and lifts spirits - AND, when we are finally able to all be safely together, we'll use these images for a collage or mural. Our collective pandemic art. Our goal is to build community and let people know we are still here.

At left is Kate Bishop's hymn, 'Open the Door', inspired by September's theme.

Chorus:
OPEN THE DOOR AND LET THEM IN
LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY ARE WELCOME

1st verse:
THAT PERSON GETTING ON THE BUS
DO THEY HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT TONIGHT?
ARE THEY LONELY? ARE THEY COLD?
WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP THEM?
