The Language of Lent

The Rev. Dr. G. Malcolm Sinclair is calling his sermon “The Language of Lent.” “Out of our deep terror of drowning in an unstoppable sea, comes news of an ark, a rescue, and a place to stand. The season of Lent/Easter is the language of rescue and restoration. We need that in these days of flood and judgement.”The Bible readings are Genesis 9:8-17 (the covenant with Noah), 1 Peter 3:18-24 (suffering for doing right), and Mark 1:9-15 (the baptism and temptation of Jesus, and the beginning of the Galilean ministry).
