On Gathering Sunday we consider some very disparate readings from the Biblical texts. We weave the story of the parting of the Red Sea and the flight from Egypt with a love song from the Psalms and a parable of Jesus on the nature of forgiveness. The Rev. Karen Bowles' sermon title is "Shocked into Awe." We welcome Debbie Silverthorne who duets with Dr. Patricia Wright for the prelude and postlude. Chelsea Van Pelt, soprano, offers us a Bach solo from Cantata #82, and lead singers from The Met Choir return with new responses and an anthem each week.
